Nice work!

Just trying to sort out some finance and this will be my next beast. Might be chewing of a bit more than I am use to in the power department.

But I love it.

That's a nice bike!  They will become pretty rare in the future - I would hang on to it.

Last chance today to see 100s of beautiful classic motorcycles at Germiston High located opposite Rand Airport entrance area. Even the bikes in the visitors area didn't disapoint. Plenty food and drinks, kiosks to buy all kinds of stuff and a pleasant atmosphere.

Jeez, was in town too.

Wish I had known about this earlier.

Any nice old 2 strokes?

There were a few original Yamaha RD350 and one highly modified RD350. Also a very rare Yamaha 200 whippet (1 of only 3 in the country) that got my attention.

I would've turned into a giggling schoolgirl, maybe better I didn't attend!!!!

There is a guy here in PE who built a Rd350 cafe racer, no I don't know why, but looks quite cool.

I miss my RZ350 :(

Wish I can find my photo's of the last LC I built up. Was a complete basket case (ex track racer) and had to hunt down a lot of parts from all over the country (got a 100% perfect tank in Koster of all places. :D )

Custom made a lot of the parts, customised a Honda CB1100R full fairing and tailpiece to fit. Was a bitch moulding the original Yamaha side panels into the CBR tailpiece to make it look half decent. Had Decals made that said "RD350 Elsie"

Was a two year built project. And man, did that thing lift it's skirts high!!

That 200 is a Yamaha SDR200 - it's unusual in SA, (being for the Japanese market only) but by no means rare - they are dime a dozen in Japan - last time I checked there were 15 available for import - it runs a version of the DT200 motor - very similar to mine. But a very nice bike none the less....

The one to have in my opinion is the "Forgotten R1" or the R1-Z. Also Japan spec only, TZR250 motor in a Trellis frame. From what I was told by my mates in Japan, they had an excess of TZR motors, so they decided to build a parts bin thing.....

Same as the Japan spec RZ500 V4. Only country that got it with a proper trellis frame, not made out of spaghetti like the one we got.

Now those are hens teeth.
