I see a weight of 860gr mentioned on some sites.

I will take that with a pinch of salt, till somebody takes a pic of a frame on a scale.

The previous Dogma was claimed at 900-and-something grams, but clocked 1200 on scales everywhere.

My guess is that their claimed weight is probably for an XS, without dropouts, bb shell and epoxy clear coat.

They weight there bikes without decals, paint and alu bb housing.

So,around 1000gr is more likely.

Froome Dawg will be happy to have a lighter frame to climb with.

Looks cooler

I would have thought that all of the bikes ridden at that level are damn near if not 'on' the weight limit .... what benefit would an even lighter frame bring?

For me, low frame weigtht, with high lateral stiffness and good vertical flexability in the right area are measures of the quality of structural engineering that went into the design. Lots of bike companies can build a carbon (or steel / alu even) frame that weighs around 1200 grams. Only some (Addict, Evo to name a few) can do the same at sub 800 grams.

The Headtube is so darn big it makes the fork steerer tube look like a 1"

Not sure if i like how the headtube overhangs the fork at the bottom either.
