Hope it doesn't come across as much as a whiney moan as the the extracts have been. I'd like to like the guy but all you ever hear about is this thing about twiggy, that thing about twiggy, blah, blah.

Let us know if it's a good read and not a trot through his career to date.

In general, any athlete who brings out a biographical book mid career loses a huge chunk of respect from me.

Oddly enough the one that was actually justified in my mind was "It's not about the bike - my story back to life by the Uniballer" - but then the story was only partially about his career.

He's going to have to climb in this years tour…. the competition isn't as bad as last year! Im sure it will have a different outcome this time round. Can wait for this tour…and very exited!

So feedback. Excellent book and well worth the read. Gives great insight into his early years growing up in Kenya and then how he moved on to SA and Europe. I liked the detail on training techniques at SKY and racing methodology used by them.

Sir Wiggo comes off as a TOTAL a-hole. Couldn't believe he shared his 2012 TDF winning bonus with the whole team except Froome (even after Froome basically gifted him the win & accordingly the subsequent knighthood!)

Thanx for this review

I also like to read about how the PROs train and so on. Find that very valuable.

All the other political stuff, aw well, that's just a bit of drama

I think the pom media is trying to make out that Froome is being a whinger whiner and is calling all the shots at Sky,. The fact is that Brailsford is in charge and Froome is still just an employee, he doesn't get to decide on these matters.

Sky is a British company and to have a Knighted POM over a Kenyan wannabe POM in a TDF starting in the UK is a much better business proposition and probably what the British public would prefer. But still, Brailsford chose Chris over Wiggo, so I’m thinking that the high and mighty Wiggo has seriously burnt his bridges with Brailsford..
