Where is Johan Bornman?

So, don't know if this is the right topic, but just wanted to know if anyone knows if Johan is still around?

Not on the hub, but physically in the country?

Have a wheel build which I would like to contact him about... Heard he was helping out at cycle lab but not sure if he's still there?

Help is appreciated!

Nope. He's abroad permanently now afaik. I think the UK.

I've seen him comment with his usual one word responses from time to time.

If you're looking for advice - Wyatt is the man to speak to, or William Keith if Williams bike shop in Somerset West CT.

Scotland. I see he did post a comment on the Hub last week or the week before.

You can also try David Marshall at Spoke and Spanner. He posts on the Hub occasionally.

I was very happy with the wheel rebuild he did for me.

There is a younger version of Johan B in Jhb. We call him Jason Geldenhuys. He works at International Trade.

I heard that they sometimes used to consult each other...

Not sure. Never seen a bike problem he couldn't solve including Shimano. But he is one of the local master wheel builders, bike mechanic, (and car mechanic so mech knowledge is very high). Works as mechanic at races like Sani, BergnBush and J2C...

If its a wheel you need built up professionally, go and see Dr George of Mean Machines in Germiston.
