Rayman Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Hi All, I'll be getting my new toy in a few days time, and need to get a helmet,or I can't go riding on any decent trails CT.Anyways... I had a look around from CWC, City Cycles, Makro, Sportsman's Warehouse and Mr Price Sport etc. besides price and weight, are there things that I should look for? I honestly can't see myself paying more than R600 when I'm just starting out. Daredevil Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Bell solar , very light and affordable entry level helmet and it comes with a crash replacement so if it breaks in 3 years you get a new one , im sure you'll get a new helmet before the 3 years is up thou... nickcza 1

CraigCCW Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I personally would not go with any "House" brands, rather go with you respected brands that specialize in helmets, i.e. Giro, Bell, Fox, etc. Alot of those brands use alot of their high-end technology on their lower-end helmets, and generally the only sacrifice is weight. You need to also remember that you are protecting your head, so you should not compromise.
