Who remembers?

OOhhh, that looks like fun. I am sure you have tons of memories of the restoration.

Wasn't fun all the way though. You run into a lot of problems and hick ups as you go along. There were also the odd argument and some frustrations. But yeah, good memories galore !

Apparently my dad had an Anglia in his young days, of course that was before I was born

And my one uncle had a Capri

I've got a capri. 1972 3 litre GT. Not too many years ago it could be a daily drive if I wanted to. But now I have retired her till I got time to do some upgrades. Majority of the stuff has been bought already. Just need to build/fit it all.

Spent way too many hours of my youth staring at the blue & pink pixels.

Did any of you had the "Microsoft Decathlon" game? - check out the legend on the podium   , don't think I ever managed to beat him...

iniscing about way back when.

It seems that first season, with ‘Waka Waka’ Ferdinand Rabie and Janine ‘The Cucumber Crusher’ Orderson, really did capture the nation’s attention.

That also had quite a bit to do with ‘Bad’ Brad Wood, whose onscreen meltdowns sent ratings soaring through the roof.

That was all fun and games, except in the years since then he’s been living up that name. This from IOL back in 2011:

Former reality TV star Bradford “Bad Brad” Wood [and four others] were tried on four charges of murder and five of attempted murder after a violent gunfight against illegal miners at the Aurora Mine in Benoni last year…

“I’m glad justice has been served, but four people still died,” said Wood after the verdict. “Those people had brothers, mothers… we’re all going to live with this for the rest of our lives.”

Wood, wearing an Evil Eye necklace, said he was moving away from security, after his stint at Aurora Empowerment Systems had left him with a year of legal woes.

I like the look of it, that, and the Escort Mk1

Had one of those as well. It got stolen from my driveway. Only had it for a few weeks. Was a 2 door. Was so angry about that one. I wanted to get into historic racing. Found a old couple near me selling this 1969 mk1. I go see them, they were the only owners. The guy sommer tells me he feels bad asking R3000 for the car as he paid R750 in 1969 brand new. I said give me 30 min and I will have the cash for you. I then bought an 2 litre pinto motor from the UK(that's the class I wanted to race in) and the same day I got informed the motor had arrived and I could pick it up the car got stolen. Sat with a motor and no car.
