Herbie. Love those movies..

Ja, my son and I chatted about the movies the other day. I used to have a 74 Beetle we called Bugsy. The boys loved that car! When I saw those yesterday, I just had to have them. Must go back and get Herbie Rides Again.

The first home projector movie I ever saw was this shortly after coming to South Africa in 1977...

...I still remember driving home with the projector and my No 7-shared birthday cake in the boot of the car. My late uncle Robert braked suddenly, and the cake got squished by the projector which fell over. We looked at the mess, and thought there was only one thing for it: eat what we can off the projector. My mum and my aunty Denise bust us, and we were in huge trouble. Well, uncle Robert was...he should've known better and birthday boys don't get into trouble! Hahahaha!

This country desperately needs this sort of campaign to educate the savages that litter non stop. Makes my blood boil! And yes, throwing you stompie out the car window makes you a savage too.

I have all of the Tintins...including the limited re-release in English of the controversial Congo book.

Asterix came to mind this morning when a mate mentioned some Greek athlete who got bust for dope. Performance-enhancing substances play a big part in this book, particularly among the Greek team... :whistling:
