The last bike that I bought from them was a joke. when I took off the rear wheel, the rear derailer fell off. It was never fastened, and my tubeless conversion had to be redone by someone else. But they are so cheap, that I just look the other way.

They may be well stocked up and always willing to do a deal. But they have the worst service and an atrocious workshop. Not the first time iv been let down by them.

I didn't have the option. They were the only bike store in a nearby radius that had the part I was looking for. They then proceeded to install the wrong part for a lot more money only for it to go bang. Will never go back. Cheap or not.

Maybe elaborate a bit. Look at the guys thread about Spez in Durbs. He takes great time in telling his side. If you back your story up with facts and events, your opinion will be taken seriously, otherwise the guys will just write it off as a rant.

You can always try Crown Cyles..... They go out of there way to find a part for you if they dont have it.... Great workshop as well... He works in the shop front where all can see what he does...

And like the rest have said.... more facts to your claim... Friends of mine use them and never complain about service....

I can recommend crown as well. Whenever I have done my own maintaince and made a mess of it after a while they sort it out!

Sounds familiar ... lol

There is a lack of care and concern. They fitted a wrong part which was more expensive and instead of admitting their fault and sorting me out, they just didn't care. It took an outside rep who happened to be in the store that sorted my problem out. They didn't take ownership of the problem they created.

I too can recommend Crown. They've been my lbs since I bought my 1st Chopper from old man Cloete 35 years ago and have never once dissaapointed me. Great price & service and though I moved to the Northern Suburbs I still make the trek down south for any bike related service or supplies I need. Gary & Hilton will always get back to you on any request and Mark is great mechanic and always open to give advice on any maintenance I try to tackle myself.

Only 35 years.. ! Got my first bike - Achilles (rod brakes) - from the dad in 1973 & a Peugeot Le Mans about 10 years later..... And I'm still going back regularly. On the Bridge issue, prices are good especially when they have sales but I can't handle the cluttered shop. You can't even browse with out being asked to give way for someone every few minutes.
