All pics should include the bike on the scale! Especially claims of sub 9kg MTB's and sub 6kg road bikes... Busy assembling my new road and MTB - hoping for sub 6.5kg and 10.5kg (dual sus).

Ok, ok, I'll post a heavy beast...

At 17.6kg this heffer weighs as much as 2 of most of the bikes here

Believe it or not, that's on the lighter side for a DH bike. Especially when one considers that this has no carbon on it, and has a custom extra long frame.

A DH bike weing in around 15 (Like GM's) can set one back over 100k... easily!

almost 2 bags of compost

It may be twice as heavy, but twice as fun, plus the added bonus of being able to ride over anyhting and everything without worrying about it breaking in half!!!

Exactly!

Now and again when I starting thinking my bike is "too light", I give it a quick coat of mud/compost/spruit poop to bring it back into acceptable ranges

Not 100% sure of the weight, used a dodgy scale after the last upgrade, and was either 10.5 or 10.8 kg IIRC, would have to confirm weight later.
