Goodbye Eagle Canyon Cycles

Could not agree more!

If looking for a great shop in Randpark Ridge area, try Cycles United, on short dirt road opposite Eagle Canyan entrance.

Have been through several LBS's and have to date had very good service from Sheldon (one of the few qualified to work on lefties etc).Super thorough and always willing to make a plan if you need your bike back by a certain time and very reasonably priced vs the likes of WRC

Not to get confused...This is Cycles United Servicing and not in any way affiliated with the Cycles United group.

Their address is 167 Blueberry Rd, Bush Hill Estate AH, Randburg. They share the plot with Dan the Trailer Man and others.

Can't speak to the competency of their workshop, although I'm sure Sheldon and his team are more than capable and professional.

What I can say is that Werner is an absolute wizz when it comes to Headshock and Lefty servicing. I can highly recommend him for that work when you need it. He's a bit of an oddball, but a stickler for keeping his workshop clean and organised. His work is done at the same exacting standards.

I am Italian, I get frustrated that I cannot talk with my hands on this forum................

Sweet Jesus!!!!!! That explains so much now...........

For what it's worth, next time you want to randomly rant at an entire thread, or if you can't offer anything of value, rather use those hands to dislodge your own head, that's clearly stuck quite firmly, up your own arse.

I now bow out of this conversation and wish you all the best.

I don't own a bike shop.............

I run my own business since 1991 very successfully in a totally different industry.............

In all sectors of industry customers and employees often have this know it all attitude and try tell you how to do things, it is very annoying................

I agree but I have to say in my experience a lot of bike shops are staffed by condescending or disinterested staff ...you feel like they are doing you a HUGE favour by just being there, even if they don't move a muscle!......probably why there are a lot of online bike shops these days. No customer/staff interaction so its a lot more pleasant. If you have done some homework then its plain sailing online really (and with a forum like this full of knowledge and experience what could go wrong....!)...

Certainly not saying that no worthwhile shops exist out there but I have certainly learnt the hard way a couple of times and prefer to shop online when possible.

Does Dan still have a big picture of himself on a billboard next to the road?

Conrad, Chaunce and Shelby have always been great.

And their coffee is always on hand by Conrad with his customary loud and lekker greeting
