How does one get knocked down on this road? The cycle lane is 1.5m wide and visibility is hundreds of meters in both directions.

Maybe the car was turning into the Caves entrance and she hit it from the front? Would explain the broken windscreen (and her face)

And that's why I just can't get myself to ride on the road.

 

No matter how vigilant you as the rider are, you can't control the actions/omissions of the motorists you share the road with.
