Cyclewizz Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I managed to track my 2 parcels to my local post office.1 of the parcels was supposedly scanned in at my local post office this past Monday.The catch is that my local post office has notices all over the door saying that it's closed. Yesterday I also received a letter at my house. Seems that there's at least 1 postman delivering mail.

Either choose the DHL option so they deliver directly to your door or ship the goods from CRC to Postbox-Curier and they in turn will deliver directly to your door.
rock Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 courier all the way now. had a UPS shipment take 2.5 days to get to me last week. I would actually pay a company to intervene and fetch my frame from JIMC and deliver to me.

The security guard told me that there is no one inside anymore. They have been so badly intimidated, they are too afraid to work, even if they didn't want to strike.

Thanks was going to go with courier option anyways. Worth paying a bit more on a big order for peace of mind.

Both must be at ORT IMC by now. Given up trying to phone to find out if they are there !!I can just see our parts getting lost with all this time that has gone by....wonder if we can claim if the parcel is missing
rock Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 My wife has several parcels from China that were bought with 'buyer protection' and was able to claim after 60 days, meant to be getting refunds in 10-15 working days time. Not sure all suppliers will offer that. My parcel is from Amazon so I need to wait until the 29th of October at 20h01 to start making a stink.

I always try to use paypal as they have buyer protection in addition to others like ebay etc. CRC/Wiggle?Merlin etc all have refund options if for any reason goods do not arrive. Many of the Chinese will assist as well even if there is no direct buyer protection. If you went through Alibaba or Aliexpress for China goods they do have buyer protection. So am not overly worried and to be honest SARS are more interested in the goods arriving so that you pay duty on them... so would not be surprised that international orders do make it through the system eventually... so we may have SARS protection on the goods hahahaha
