As a husband and father I find it had to justify spending money on myself without spoiling them too. Whether it be bike parts or a T-shirt. Having said that its not my fault if our hobbies dont share the same type of costs. I mean, that yoga mat was R399.00. Only the best for you baby

I have only ever bought one complete bike (some time back in 2006/7) so have no idea of the replacement value of my 'few' bikes. I also don't keep track of my spend on consumables, incidentals and must haves ...... it's better that way

Worst nightmare - when I die my wife sells my bike for what I told her I paid for it

Give me your wifes number so I can phone her when you die! Bargain of a lifetime... lol

Last year..including spares and new drive train plus entry to stage race spent about half a months salary in total the entire year...bike will probably cost about a months salary to replace...maybe a bit more
