I want to give a shout out to Wayne from rapide (yet to meet the guy)

I recently purchased a single speed bike that needed a few new rings and chain etc.

So after riding it on the Sunday and wondering where can i get the replacement bits in a hurry and knowing i wouldn't be able to pop out during the week as i was busy at work i decided to try this inter net ordering thing .

Expecting no feedback and little customer service as i knew Rapide was a local supplier using local courier i was not expecting much in terms of customer satisfaction from service etc, but i needed the parts and wanted to ride my bike that upcoming weekend so i took a chance.

By 18:30 pm Monday night i had browsed the lekka web site, contemplated the teeth of the rear and front rings and finally decided what ratio i wanted so clicked ,ordered my new gears, chain, and hell i saw a nice 720mm control stick so took 2 of those as well ,swiped the credit card so to speak  and then wondered , will i ever get the stuff , will it be correct etc .

Any way to cut a short story long :)

Within 15 minutes i had an email from Wayne ....not from an automated bot response ,as i needed to query an item so emailed back and got a answer on my order.

And wait for it here is the firecracker whistles and fireworks moment!! by  14:00 on the Tuesday afternoon all my bits had arrived correctly and the Courier guy was even all smiles ....

So all i can say is i am chuffed to use a local supplier who is helpful uses good couriers and delivers on what they promise.

Glad you got good service... a quick search of the forums for Rapide would have given you all the background info on what good service Kiwi gives... which would have saved you some fretting and been able to online shop without concern.

GOOD SERVICE

Where's the pitcha of your new bike?

I placed my order with them about 2 weeks ago, I did it as soon as I got in the office around 7am. The day goes by as normal and I pack my stuff in the afternoon and head off home on the motorbike.

I get home and see a missed call from the office, I phone back and our receptionist tells me a parcel had arrived for me, she has put in on my desk. This was at 4pm.

Basically I got a same day delivery of my goods from Rapide, my office is in Sandton.

That is TOP TOP class service, I almost got back on the bike to ride back to the office to collect my stuff.

Never bought from Rapide (yet), but, I think if you look at the enterprises whose staff and owners are part of their community and love what they do will almost always have excellent customer service.

No matter what industry it is, there's nothing worse than dealing with someone who feels they're doing you a favour by doing their job.
