I use my phone as a router and connect to it by wireless. I want to install a VPN on it , since - as far as I know - the VPN is installed on the router.

I would like to use ExpressVPN. does anybody here have experience of installing a VPN on a phone?

Cheers

Very easy nowadays...they all come as Apps...I have ExpressVPN installed from the Play store...???? Edited by urbanroyal

Thanks DStv, but no thanks. Like with VHS, CDs and other hip to be products, I’ve moved on...

I wonder when they realise they are dead in the water.

As a matter on iterest all the satellite packages are add one here. Broadband is 40 and satellite is 30 on top of that... Still a rip off in my book...I get everything I need without needing to pay for that extra 30

I wonder what all the current subscribers think, especially the ones who went the price lock route!

Perhaps they are the same people that purchased an e-tag.

Ended up with a MiBox.

First month without Dstv and I survived.

Netflix and Showmax is not that great, but I did find stuff to watch on it. Not a big fan of movies, but Im getting used to it.

Starting to find my way around Kodi which is quite nice as there's a lot to watch.

Kids dont miss Dstv at all by the look of things and the stuff they watch on YouTube is much better than the crap on the MultiChoice kid channels.

Slightly off-topic in where this request comes from, but in moves back to where you guys are at...Netflix etc media players...

I am frustrated with my current Zwift setup, which requires me to bring my Work Laptop home if I want to Zwift because I run the software from there. Then it is the sad story of waiting for everything to boot up, login passwords for the laptop and then starting up Zwift, takes an age to actually start riding.

From what I have gleamed off the interwebs, the APPLE TV is the ideal solution to set up a dedicated Swift stand where I can just pitch and ride/run.

So Questions:

What other services can run on the Apple TV? Things like Youtube and Netflix, I hope? I want to set up a secondary entertainment area for the kids away from our main lounge, which would double as my training cave.

I am on an android phone currently and don't intend to get an iPhone or a MAC anytime soon. Zwift on Apple TV seems to play nicely with the companion app on the Android platform. But are there other platforms similar to Apple Tv that can run Zwift and then switch over to Netflix etc?

Check if the app is on google play store. Then you can get any AndroidTV media box, like the mibox, or nvidia shield.

Have to say, a 2nd hand Apple TV seems like the most economical option.

If you not an Apple user I would not go with the Apple TV. You not gonna nearly get the flexibility of an Android based system. Hell...a raspberry pi is gonna give your better flexibility than that.

I bought this as my 2nd Android box on BangGood. Bloody good value, as you can see, R680 with postage.

Still waiting for it to arrive, but I paid with PayPal, so if it doesn't arrive, I get my money back. It landed in SA on 12th December, 10 days after purchase, now to wait for the Post Office!!!!

Still waiting for the post office, nearly 2 months!

I'm I frustrated? Naaah, just happy it's on their system, it'll come, EVENTUALLY :cursing:  :cursing:  :cursing:

By the time you get it, it'll be so outdated, you might as well just bin it.
