When you come off the N1 from CPT direction you turn left at the 1st set of traffic lights into Durban rd (Metropolitan on your left) and you then get to another set of traffic lights. The Road lodge will be on the opposite side of the traffic lights on your left.

You continue straight on durban rd but and just after the Road lodge you will come across a white office park/shops on the left and he is at that office park.

Just tell him that Lloyd recommended you to him

Nice, thanks Lloyd. Will give them a go.

At last! A product that will last. It is not made in CHINA!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but most Items/products on the market today are no longer "made in china" but ARE in fact "made in china" - The chinese have agreed to change this as many people have been complaining and no longer want to purchase items that are made in China. Advertising is now on a whole other level.

to  be 100% sure it is china free - google barcodes - USA products start with 0. South African Products start with 6.

Stay away from tools made in SA though.

One can only imagine what kind of operation Zoooomah has going down at Nklankla (however he spells it).

So is the OP Park-Tool not actually "Made in the USA" ? The barcode starts with 7.

What  about Revolution Cycles? Been there a couple times when I've been that side of the South of A.

Always seemed a great crew of guys.

The guys at Revolution are fantastic! Wish all bike shops could be like that!

Oddly Google tells me that the prefix numbers 760 to 769 are Switzerland, don't know if that is up to date as it seems a little odd.

Remember when we were talking about bike shop service....

I've dealt with most shops in and around Cape Town, but for an intimate experience with friendly and knowledgeable guys on the floor, be sure to give EVO bikes a try. They are actually on online store but work from a small warehouse in Durbanville on the Vissershok rd. I like to just pop in there from time to time to browse or just chat to Janos and Louis about parts and stuff. Janos can source almost anything for you at the best prices and always willing to offer discounts. They just did a rebuild of my Cannondale warrantee frame and I'm just so impressed with how they operate.

Louis Bresler Knipe runs a workshop from the same premises, very reliable, experienced and affordable rates. What better than having a small, personal shop with an ex pro looking after your bikes' wellbeing..
