Frosty Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 No.14 for me this year - still undecided as to what I want to do - but this should help narrow down the options: I have said I would NEVER do the MTB event again, but based on comments and the highlights of the 2014 event, it looked like a much better race compared to previous years. Still undecided though.
Wez-O Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 There is no doubt in my mind that the 'new' 947 route despite only being 93km is tougher than the 109 Argus route. That said, its a great race and all your Kaapies should come to Joburg for the weekend to take part. For me the biggest perk of the 947 over the Argus is how the racing groups are not massive and split per 5 years in the vets. The Argus on the other hand try make the groups as big as possible and its a crash fest. See you all there in November.

Sandro Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 My 11th and this time I'm going to start later on an MTB and enjoy the scenery and atmosphere. If i can't win it I'd rather just enjoy it.
eddy Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 It conflicts with Hell and Back again. I think I will rather do the 2 day MTB race this year; more climbing, less traffic, better scenery, more chilled and NO chance of being talked into riding to and from the race and doing it all on a SS.
