Dexter-morgan Posted November 12, 2015 Share Some help please...........We used to live in Jhb many moons ago but now we are lost with regards to where best to park on Sunday.......We know where Monte is and Fourways Mall but where the hell is the start? Is it past the Indaba Hotel and at the old Riversands Chicken Pie place or are we way out?Where should we park???We have a completely c&@p starting time of 10:15am so we assume traffic will already be a nightmare by then?Any help would be appreciated Last year we came from the William nicol off ramp and it was very slow, we were then directed through Monte casino to Main rd and Eventually got Zinia Rd, it was quite and found parking close by. TK-Sp3cialiSt Posted November 12, 2015 Share I am not sure why everyone is stressing about parking, last week was a pleasure, just leave home with plenty of time to spare
EmptyB Posted November 12, 2015 Share So is it best to just get there at sparrows fart irrespective of your starting time...I'm riding with team NSPCA and starting just after 9am. Is it still necessary to pitch up at like 7am or earlier??
Bonus Posted November 12, 2015 Share I would look at parking at the Leaping Frog shopping centre. It's a couple of k's closer to the start than Monti and Fourways Mall. Don't tell me - they also do a good breakfast???? ;-) T.
Sandro Posted November 12, 2015 Share Sounds like everyone is leaving early regardless of start time so we can all sit in traffic together. No way in hell I will even try and park at the venue.
IceCreamMan Posted November 12, 2015 Share Last year was a nightmare from both the fourways and Pretoria sides (N14) so leave early... park your car anywhere you can within 10km of the start ...and take a gentle ride. the frustration getting in and out of the area is just not worth it. park fourways mall etc but by 6:30 its proably going to be full anyway as are all the shopping centres in the area. Javas X Posted November 12, 2015 Share No goodie bag at registration, just the envelope and a bottle like last week!

Karin Posted November 12, 2015 Share No goodie bag at registration, just the envelope and a bottle like last week! That's so crappy, especially with entries that are now so expensive. Was hoping last week that it was only for the MTB that we received no goodie bags. At least a bit of sunscreen or gel or something for the sore muscles afterwards..... Going to collect race number after work today, hoping that the queues won't be too bad just before closing time.
travisza Posted November 12, 2015 Share No complaints about queues? I take it that it wasnt that bad then?
Bonus Posted November 12, 2015 Share I'm not riding this year but I'd like to pop into the Expo. If I recall correctly non-riders had to pay a small entry fee to get into the Argus expo. What's the score at the Dome?
