Bat Posted November 10, 2015 Share My friend is starting a few batches behind me and I would like to join him. Can I change my seeding at the registration ?No you don't need to get reseeded if you are in a lower starting batch than him. You can just join his batch on race day. GemmerKat Posted November 10, 2015 Share As I understand it, you can drop back without a reseed. Only need a reseed if you want to move forward. There are 4 of us riding together, and each of us at different times. We are all dropping back to the time of the latest start in the team (09H40!!). But we want to ride together, so... Thanks. Makes it easier to drive with a few mates..
Bonus Posted November 10, 2015 Share Thanks. Makes it easier to drive with a few mates..I dropped back from a nice seeding last year to ride with my son who was over from the UK and the ungrateful little oik dropped me 20km into the race! Big effort to recatch him but did it eventually - and partly only because I took some chances through Steyn City! Lol
Lurch the stalker Posted November 11, 2015 Share Got an email today saying because I am riding both MTB and Road, I must look out for the collection point with the green board at the Expo. Can anyone tell me what makes this "special"?Anybody who rides both events gets a green race number, so I imagine that it means there is now a special collection point that will (hopefully for you) have shorter queues. Ispeed_V Posted November 11, 2015 Share Heard that for the stronger / fitter guys, we can park at Montecasino and ride to the start. Will apparently be a designated cycle path in order to do this. Does any one have specifics and is any one going to do it?
typhoon Posted November 11, 2015 Share Only saw the back of you on Sunday but then again I am many years older. Enjoy the race, I'll be watching on from the comfort of VE. Don't think it gets any easier. Just don't get dropped by anyone from the group behind you... No Pressure...
