"We just think before entering next year we will make sure to check if it is timed by Racetec before we enter, well thats a lie, if Genasys enter a team, we will enter because we cannot have those vaalies come down to the Cape and have an easy time. (A time nobody may be able to tell them, but a time nevertheless)"

Great write up! Well done on the result!

I am actually surprised that ASG has not replied or responded to all the queries raised about this event. They are normally very active on TheHub and quick to advertise. Not a good show ASG

Not surprised at all. Its same as last year.

this lance bloke seems angry, i'm not surprised she's a vet

Yet you accuse Matthys of not doing Epic cause he is hiding due to doping. Rather be angry than stupid prick who has no clue how anything works.

STRAVA needs a feature that allows you to combine several days of data for an overall classification. These segments can't lie ...

Jokes aside, i find it surprising that the timing companies haven't gone big data so that they always have multiple sources of data for accuracy. Garmin Connect, Polar, Strava all have open API's.

Nice write-up and nice racing against you guys. Perhaps a couple of liberties taken e.g. we think we won stage 1, and we think we (Genasys) were the overall team to watch. Might see you guys at the jock tour then.

I think we need to face the truth:

We will never get accurate and complete results for TOGH 2016.

That sucks.

i am afraid you are 100% correct

ek wil nou nooit iets te doen he nie met die volgende brands nie. nooit ooit nie

Sooooo as per their website.... It's end of the week right?

"Our timekeepers are methodically working through every result query and updating daily result sheets and resultant changes in GC. This is a time consuming process and we thank our riders for their patience.

Once they have resolved all queries we will upload a complete and correct set of results, which they have indicated should be at the end of the week."

Times are still wrong, and they have still not said anything.

Oh it's easier than putting pressure on the sponsors.

Simply put. ASG did not deliver what they said they would for the fee you paid, so ask for money back.

They also falsely advertised, and that can be lodged at the ASA. They have done this a few times now, so it's about time they get taken to task by an official body. Remember "we will use Racetec at Sondela"....

I am also busy compiling a report on the direct costs I sunk into 2015, 2016. The opportunity cost I lost with the time I took off work to train for this event that was wasted, quantifying the lost marketing value because we could not do a live day to day blog like I wanted to on Facebook, am running a survey with my clients I took with to this event to assess the brand damage I incurred by associating myself with ToGH....

It starts putting it in perspective the impact this wetfart has on corporate entries like ours....

What leaves me completely speechless, flabbergasted is probably the right word, is the fact that ASG Events has yet to stand up, and say "hey sorry guys we messed up, this is what we are doing about it, this is when we will have it fixed". Is beyond disgusting!

You took people's money!! You OWE them, get that in your head. You are not doing your clients a favour by hosting an event, you OWE them delivery, you OWE them a response. They paid you, we are your CLIENTS. Where is your pride?????

Yeah the silence is very deafening.

I drove some of the route at Du Toitskloof yesterday and was reminded of how good that part of the experience was. Could really be a great event and given the chance I'd probably come back.

But the treatment ASG dishes out really leaves a bad taste. I actually don't mind that they messed up. Only problem is that it happened again after others were subjected to it last year. But to then ignore the issue and people's aggravation is what I don't get. That's like refusing to acknowledge that people have the grounds to be upset.

Again. It's not the fact that companies get things wrong that sinks them. It's the response to the crisis that determines what happens next. And this company's response leaves a lot to be desired.
