Down not up the Hekpoort pass - looks a bit like the Wilro Lions route.......If it goes DOWN then it lost its allure to me. Challenge gone.The Dome has always been a challenging ride. Sad.

Long Wheel Base Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Agreed, Dome was always a good leg workout with the hills !!Still seems "fairly" hilly. 1004m over 111km. Looking at the profile on the site there are 3 climbs in the beginning with a flat middle and then climb to the finish.

Frosty Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 IMO, I don't think there's enough parking for the number of moaning roadies, but with a huge veld next door there shouldn't be a problem. It's 30km from home for me, which is double the distance compared to the Rand Water venue. But I'm still riding there from home - good training (170km) for our club "Tour to Durban" in October.
