Nutribullet

I am contemplating getting one but not sure if it is worth it. I have a blender and juicer but this is something between the 2. Currently I use both the juicer and the blender. Blender for shakes and stuff and juicer for the odd green juices few times a week.

If I understand correctly this combines best of both worlds. Do any of you use 1? Is it worth paying R1800-R2000 for this?

Think they mention this for making nut butters.

From their site:Nutribullet is the super food extractor that completely breaks down your food to get all the essential nutrition! Dont juice it, dont blend it extract it

So in other words.  It is a freaken fast blender.

So as not to start another topic, I am resurrecting this one.

We have a Kenwood New York Smoothie Maker and were looking at a Nutribullet. Now from what I can see, the Nutribullet does it's business in the glass that you will drink out of whereas the smoothie maker will blend and then you need to decant into a glass.

Both have 4 blades that spin and chop/blend/pulp. I haven't compared speeds etc but power wise it's 500W (Kenwood)vs 600W (Nutribullet)

To my untrained eye, both should do the same thing. Any reason I should drop the cash and buy the Bullet?

Because the marketers say so :P

We have the Kenwood and use it.

Get a 300 rand hand blender. A lot more versatile imo.

For the amount I have spent on those and various other blenders I could have had 3 Nutribullets. Get the thing.

We got the 900W Nutri Bullet last week and we've been drinking mixtures of Kale, Spinach, apple, carrot, almond and mixed seeds, beetroot, etc etc every day since. Just so easy to do - pop everything (apple core included) in the cup with some water and ice, blend like crazy and drink the whole lot. Then rinse the cup and blade in 20sec or put it in the fridge if theres left over.

The ease of it all means I actually use it, and will continue doing so, unlike our blender or juicer

Reckon the 600W might possibly not get the fine consistency.

Expensive yes, but I see this as an investment in our health...

Thanks everyone. Will give the Smoothie maker a whirl (I know... I know... :D ) and if the fad lasts or the blended fruit becomes a thing then I'll contemplate dropping the cash

Just a heads up- you're not meant to blend apple seeds, peach seeds and a few others as they contain cyanide.

Quote from Nutribullet themselves: "Apple seeds, cherry pits, peach pits, apricot pits, plum pits, avocado pits. These pits contain harmful chemicals that release cyanide into the body when ingested"

Clearly you skipped the instructions :D

Never used the thing but seems like an overpriced little item to me.  A serious marketing premium by the looks of things.  Being using a R299 Makro special for years now and if you blindfolded me I would never know the difference.  Of course, I may end up with smoothie all over my cycling top that I spent the R2k on.
