after a **** day , this topic has just relieved me a bit.

my 2c - just remove the saddle and use the pin.

Seems like it's more comfortable than the Tundra

Lekker man... Was hoping we could spread a couple of smiles around, seeing that work is interfering with our cycling.

"Relieved me a bit" - what did you do when you removed saddle and the pin?  Relieve yourself?

No man, this is a family forum.  Please keep it tight.

"The tighter the better" I always say.

Thanks for the advice chaps.... Taken into account everything you said about the pain in my poepol, I decided to buy a new Rudi helmut...

Retail therapy always comes highly recommended!

Although in this case I'm not sure it's auto targeting system seems to working. .............................. ......

Can anyone comment on the Selle SLR vs the Phenom?

I ride the SLR carbon on my road bike. Absolutely love it. Its super rigid. Have the SL on my tandem and 29er and they not as hard but still the same size so you still sit the same on it.

What is the snake, chameleon, buffalo scale, and what relevance is it to the size of your helmet??? #confused

Its fiziks way of measuring how supple you are and in turn what saddle you should ride. Did you notice about 2 years back the cannondale team at the TDF had on the back of their bibs snake/chameleon or bull. That was fizik launching their new scale and it was what each rider rode. The saddles in each category are shaped differently. So in theory if your say a snake you can buy any saddle in the snake range for different style bikes and they will suit your anatomy.

The helmet, your guess is as good as mine.

I run an SLR XC flo in preference to the phenom - works better for me - tried the phenom that came on my spez for a week and then swapped back to my SLR - an old friend... but you better have narrowish sitbones for the SLR XC - it's not wide at all.

Saddles are very personal though - once you find one that works for you, stick with it - I have 2 SLR XP's, 2 SLR teams, 2 SLR XC flo's and they work for me - and a couple of others too - old Ritchey Vector's - that are ok as well.

I have tried a couple of the Physik saddles - never liked them - actually hated the gobi - but my race partner loves his gobi - so it really depends on your preference.
