As some may know I did not cycle in the dark , cause I can;t see in the dark . I spend many hours in the sun (although not hot it was shining . The little solar charger did it's job charging the external packs but like Johann said , if you gonna cycle a lot at night or spend your nights in the bush under a tree you gonna need a bit of extra power for those lights . Duracells will give you two nights with some lights . :thumbup:

Just more stuff to carry. Dynamo hub is the answer if you're looking for charge on the go capabilities.

:whistling: The maths don't really add up . My 4 external packs weighs about 500g . I agree for racers this would be the solution but for somebody that battles to keep the wheels rolling it is not , I spend many hours testing these hubs and they are awesome but not for me . :eek:

No one said anything about maths... My point is, it's something extra to a) pack/ find space for and b) weight in your pack which translates to weight on the saddle. The dynamo provides a solution replacing an already existing part and keeping the weight out of a pack.
