This is not a new bike

but my slow re entry to riding

.. since shattering my hip in last year's Juma and subsequently selling everything cycling I owned.. I have learnt to walk been spinning and kinda missed the riding..

I have recovered and my new replacement hip is working OK. .except the cold bites....me.

Today, I broke down and bought this old lady so I can ride with my wife ..

the bug never leaves a cyclist even after the accident, op and that pain..

The yearning to ride still lingered.

Today I collected the old (look) lady

a 2005 carbon Look 386i Ultega groupo and brakes

Mavic Aksium light wheels

Im really glad to see you back again.

Was hoping you wouldnt go through with it and sell all of your kit after the accident.

You can never stray too far from cycling...

There you go!

Shot on the comeback. Hope the IDT helped?

Good news, glad you took the decision to keep the wheels turning,

Just ride that puppy but don't expect any podiums.

Ride within yourself.

(Come down and ride the half Shova and we can ride together.)

All the best!

Did a 1 hour ride on Sun.

I was more nervous about getting back on a bike

Scared actually kept hearing my bones cracking. ..

But it was really good riding with my wife again

I will need to remember to keep calm and not try "win"

Just want to enjoy the freedom of riding ..

The Look was great a nice responsive ride...

Hey mate , i am glad you did not let that moment define you...it is inspirational to see guys go through so much trauma, and then to have so much perseverance and willpower to not be handicapped ...welcome back and enjoy every moment of it.
