No Sachets causes accidents and littering miles on end. Rules are you must stop in a safe designated area.

The A group at Sondela will come close to 40km/h ave. Stop? Why doesn't Gu packets fall under the same rule?

Same happened to my wife and two friends who also started in EL.

Judging from the racetec results, this happened for several people. I've already sent hate mail regarding this.

Extra to this, racetec shows EL as having only 69 riders and DL having 204.

I expect some shuffling of results come Monday.

So can none of you offer advice on registering at road racea in gauteng on the day? obv not the 94.7 but others? it was the norm in CT but the people i lifted with to bestmed found it amusing that i thought it even possible here. Maybe just a PPA thing?

It may be possible at some races but is definitely not the norm. Any late entries usually start unseeded/at the back.

.

I actually thought AL felt bigger. Or maybe I was riding at the back.

That CL must've been WAY big for a single lane judging by how long groups stayed together.

I can second that, few us from DL caught and passed CL early on and they were a very big bunch... took up the whole left lane of the road.

From my understanding a lot of guys got reseeded to CL that were not happy with there seeding, hence the big group.

Any of you planning on using the result from this event to request reseeding for 94.7?

As far as I know reseeding for 94.7 are closed.

I considered asking for a reseed but very happy I didn't. We were a nice bunch working together in DL up to Hekpoort. After Hekpoort it was full blast to the finish line

CnC.....I have been soiling my panties for years now and between the bike shops, organisers and CSA everyone is just content on letting it go on as it is......

ASG.

Take note on this:

You'll create a nice little "niche" series if you combine all your one day classics with regards to seeding.

So you have 6?, 10? races and you get a race number for the year.  Or maybe it gets reviewed after 6 months where you can then get a reseeding number if you did well in the first 3 races.

So I go get my number ONCE and race with it in all your races for the year.

I don't have to drive around like an idiot the day before the race after a stupid piece of paper and you, the organiser, don't have to organise goody bags or personnel or T shirts, nothing.

And I'll enter all 6,10 whatever races if they are classics, count toward seeding (racetec) and are accessible to Gauteng riders.  (local races)

Take it, leave it.  You're choice   ;)

Well done ASG.

I have been very critical of your races in the past.

This one was done perfect.

Also did the VA thing.  Had a lekker jol.

The bike marshals were awesome as always in controlling the bunches and helping with the traffic and safety.

Portapoos was very clean and kept clean throughout the day.  10/10 thank you very much!

Parking was organised and the people helping was there early and knew exactly where to direct.

Thank you for a lekker experience.  I will be back.

Another tip for ASG. Forget the goodie bags and make the entry fee a bit more affordable...

They wont do that, very little CTC for those bags, mostly for sponsors accounts.

The same sponsors will not be keen to contribute cash to subsidise entry fees as the products have a lower cost to them and promotes their products in the first place.
