it is the first 58km of the skyrun route, so 58km +-2200m elevation gain...

it is an amazing run, did it a few years ago in the middle of winter.

Loved running through the snow and bum sliding into Balloch.

Congrats on doing it through that shite weather

I bought Jaybirds but they died after 4 weeks

Replaced them with this d27908fe6ec12a8be0a77a2f48626ad3.jpg

Although they don’t come close to the sound quality of the Jaybirds these headphones are built to last.

Awesome! Thanks, that is what I need. My current ones have a massive dongle thing that bobs all over the show. It was not on the picture on the box otherwise I would have left them.

Hey guys. I’m looking for a good set of bluetooth earphones for running. Any recommendations?

I'm also looking for a pair. I don't really use headphones for running except occasionally when I have to do a tempo or something and I'm really just not in the mood. At all.

After reading a full MTN data bundle worth of reviews, I've narrowed my choices down to 3: The Jabra Elite Sport, Jaybird Run and Bose Soundsport Free.

They're all sweat proof, have good battery life (including recharging cases) and great sound quality (same frequency range on all) with strong bass. And they all integrate with Siri or the Android equivalent. I like the idea of the Bose for running as it doesn't isolate noise yet still delivers strong sound, which makes it a good option for the car as well. Jaybird is also highly regarded for its sound quality. But based on general quality, connectivity strength and value for money, I'm probably going to go with the Jabra.

If I were to go with a Bluetooth wired option, I'd definitely look at the Jaybird X3. Under R2k on Takealot and I've read great reviews on them (plus nearly 8 hours battery life is nothing to sniff at.)

I do fortunately have a brother in law in Dubai who's a pilot so gadgets work out a lot cheaper than locally.

Awesome man! Thanks! These might be more what I need. I’ll look around here for them. Only wireless ones I have seen are the apple ones and they don’t look like they will work or the Samsung ones. But they are both mad expensive. Shot for the info!

This is me for the next week or so. Last ditched attempt to start running beginning of April. First time in a long time that I woke up without stiffness in the Achilles. So cautiously optimistic.

You are going to run funny with those shoes...

Good luck. See you on the road pretty soon!

What's the heel to toe drop on those bad boys? That's taking 'stability' shoes to the next level...

Good luck, hope things come right soon

Got a funny issue with my lower back/right hip area... I've got a sick 2 year old with crazy post nasal so been sleeping upright and trying to keep her upright as much as humanly possible the last three nights - definitely seems to have disturbed something around there as it's sore even with normal walking about

It's probably a sore hip/glute muscle from holding the little one in the sitting position and not necessarily the lower back, in my humble opinion. I'm no doctor but have kids too and suffered that a few times.

Good day All.

I recently saw the ON CLOUD shoes, and I really like the look of it. Anyone on here that have used them and can give some feedback on how they perform etc?

I do mostly trail running when I do not cycle but also the occasional road run just for training purposes.

I read some reviews on them, some mentioned that the soles loose bounce after a while. Maybe someone that actually use them can give more info. They do look interesting though.
