all the seeding initiatives are loyalty programs. They reward your improving results but in order to maintain that ranking you need to keep participating in events.

what about people who spend more time training and improving than simply just entering and riding events? doesn't seem to fair on those folks.

so sure it can be more equitable like a simple points system would be but I guess it is what it is

What about those folks? - How do you propose PPA/SASeeding measure their training & improvement if they can't be bothered to enter events? Follow them on Strava?

If you do not race and only train... why you worried about seeding?

I see they have added an individual ranking too now so you can see yr ranking within age group, gender and in total. Nice feature that.

Well, I'm a bit angry with the PPA because my seeding is obviously wrong.......I couldn't keep up with my group and was left for dead on the first climb.......why did they seed me with a bunch of murderous killers?  ;)

From what I can see the PPA does not differentiate between Mountain biking and Road biking seeding. Cause my Mountain biking seeding position is same as Road biking .... and believe me it should not be....I am a scardy kat when it comes to fast downhill single tracks... i go slow..

Haha! Ja this PPA seeding breaks my head. The last PPA Scenic South race - nice beta of 1.3 which makes sense given the wind & climbs. But then "mr adjusted winner" must be openly on steroids because he beat everybody by 7 minutes and messed up my race seeding. So now I'm supposed to drop down one group, but now the group "borders" have changed so I am just back to where I started - nothing changed...

How many riders are on the list? So our ranking is out of?

According to our president, it would be "Nine hundred and thirty million, three thousand and sixty thousand".
