I don't understand how this all works but like to see if I am improving as a cyclist and checked this morning. Only one event seems to be taken into account. Looking forward to improving my seeding over the next month or 3.

Official seeding events and the cycle tour can have a 100% weighting on your seeding. Smaller events up to 33%
Bianchisti Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 They only used one of my events as well. Happens to be the one with the best index (compared to winners time) but also the oldest so adding penalty.

I know okes that did nothing and seeded ahead. Not a perfect science, never will be, made peace with it and will ride with whatever they give me

I dont see how someone that is supposedly weaker than you can have a better road seeding unless they are racing more clever than you or unless they are higher seeded than you and are able to wheelsuck and stay with the front of their group. If I look at my teams current seeding they are perfectly in line with where the guys are at. Of course some guys have gotten stronger since the last road race but that will soon be reflected when roadie season opens. The PPA seeding is quite transparent, if you and your mate do the same race and you do a better time than him you will be awarded a better index provided that you are a PPA member. Its that simple.

Thor Buttox Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I think the only thing they have messed up is they don't consider if your best index PLUS penalty is actually worse than your second best without a penalty. I have dropped from E to G and I am much stronger than I was, because my best index was taken as 100% and then weighted for age. (What the penalty alphabetagamma is, I have no clue.)
