While we at it, can we please also ban high high compression socks and leg hair that gets caught in the chain.

High compression socks are banned.  Only allowed halfway between ankle and knee

Can someone please explain to me why it is not allowed to wear sleeveless shirts during an event???

14.02 Clothing

14.02.001 Footwear shall be fully enclosed

14.02.002 A competitor must wear appropriate riding attire, including a shirt with sleeves of a minimum short sleeve standard which reaches half way from shoulder to elbow.

14.02.003 Eye protection is strongly recommended.

14.02.004 Wearing of a helmet which meets minimum ANSI/European standards is mandatory during training and racing, and should be able to absorb severe shock.

why are you bothering to ask the question when you have the answer right in front of you

Good to see CSA have their priorities right, clamp down on the sleeveless, but let the guy who has syringes in his bag at world champs race without stating that he has been cleared... If I missed something I apologize in advance.

Quick, a diversion....I see that the 2012 UCI rules prohibit Camelbacks with a volume greater than 0.5 litre for road and cyclocross events. Is there an equivalent rule for MTB events?

PS let's ignore Rule #32 for a second..... :whistling:

Ignoring rule #32 for a second .... wondering if 94.7 organisers know about this rule ... and if they will measure camelback capacity and ban accordingly ... and is it .5 litre total volume (do you even get bags that small?), or .5 litre bladder volume ?

This article is about road cyclists, sleeves and event organiser enforcing rules. Otherwise, spot on boet.

Based on some of the comments, we can ignore all rules if we think they are stupid...........like doping, wearing a helmet etc.

Maybe a letter to CSA can get all these rules removed.
