Spoke101 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 surely that price cant be right? Can get a SC Tallboy with that spec for that kind of money.
Bizkit031 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Eish price hectic for that build and the frame is nothing special.
Johny Bravo Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 That price cant be right. R72k for a no name pick n pay specced bike. Cant be. Odinson and Bizkit031 2
Odinson Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) R72k for a bike with a RS Reba RL and SLX brakes?! Who do these guys think they're fooling? Edit: Found this interesting thread on Volcan: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/118762-volcan/ I thought it was a Swiss brand (given their love of the Swiss flag), but that doesn't seem to be the case. eddy Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Someone send this bike and it's pricing to Trevor Noah to use when next he needs a good joke. Mopkop 1
NicoBoshoff Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 At least the other bikes have their specsheets to blame for ripping the hole out of it...
rock Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 that Yeti ASR that they're giving away with Tread magazine is said to be worth R60k ans you know they always over-value prizes. And that's a Yeti which comes with a ton of street cred, gummibear 1
Shebeen Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I thought Volcan had disappeared - website has one bike. pretty sure knox and evans didn't have that spec for epic.
Odinson Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I thought Volcan had disappeared - website has one bike. pretty sure knox and evans didn't have that spec for epic. Volcan built Knox and Evan's bikes from 2nd hand parts they bought from le bikehub. Industry insiders tell me that Volcan got the inspiration for this bike from the "Chinese Carbon" thread.
rock Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Evans switched to a Yeti rather quickly after 'retiring'.....
Mr X Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 The falling Rand is getting hectic, better buy quickly or the bike you have now will be the last bike you ever own.
