"I don't think you'll ever be able to drive anything less than a 1.6l or something small like a hatch little car".... Oh boy I've been spoiled in SA regarding cheap good cars. Oh you'll get good cheap cars in NZ... look into the Japanese auctions and order one from there. There are companies that specialise in the import of them and can be really really awesome!
