The accent thing is quite funny.

I always thought Kiwi accents, although similar to Aussie accents, are a lot more mild and tolerable.

Speaking to an Aussie, I was that they can't stand Kiwi accents, and whilst they don't love South African Accents, they are more tolerable to them, than the Kiwi accent.

There are just some Kiwi's I don't understand, and some of them don't understand me, like my flat mate - he asks me to repeat myself with every single sentence I say, now I have started to speak like a retard, well actually I just don't speak to him anymore - we are rarely home at the same time anyway.

Thank goodness the Kiwi's I hang out most with/get along best with understand me and I them.

For Brits, Yanks, and a number of other countries, an Aussie tourist visa is a quick and free online application.

I'm sure that has most to do with the ease with which SA "passports" are issued and dispensed, just ask Wesley Snipes!

This weekend I rode 500m up the road onto a dirt track, then about 3km along onto another. All basically in the "back yard".

This particular trail (Worsley Track) is multi- use. So MTB, walkers, 4x4 and dirt bikes. It also runs along the edge of the new $20m Christchurch Adventure Park which they are building, so one can see signboards at the entry points for construction vehicles.

But yeah, so much fun, all in the local hood!

Beer is expensive man, one needs to drink it slower (but still need to keep it cold)...kinda like a matured whiskey now :D
