Missed out on my first free coffee which expires today. Some machine at Vida e Caffè in sandton city was not working so they could not scan my coupon.

My local VA enters the voucher number and doesn't use barcode scanning.

I've been getting two smoothies a week since this thing started. My wife is also on it and does not like the smoothies and so I've been using her two as well. I have a Kauai and a Vida each within 100m or so of my office  :whistling:  :whistling:  :whistling:

I collected my watch this morning and paid the little extra (R900) for a bigger version. I've been using (READ: playing) a lot and the battery has not been too bad. My question is:

I've been using the activity tracker in my Garmin fēnix 3 for the daily step count, now this works fine because Garmin Connect send the info to Discovery. I use GC quite a bit to track my progress, can I swap, as the need/want arrises and have my steps populated to GC from the Apple Watch, thus maintaining my history on GC?

I think you can. My activity info is also send to Discovery via Polarflow, so what I can make out is it doesn't matter which device you use, as long as you are active.

I'll will also pay the extra R900, but all istores in the JHB area are now sold out of the black watch and the dark blue. All I can get is white, but they said they will be getting stock every day, so I'm holding thumbs for a black one tomorrow.

How do you know if the friends you have requested to join your team have actually joined you?

As an aside, maybe we should get some people from here that regularly achieve their goals to join other teams

Below your points goal it will say "Your team" with four circles and your teammates initials in the circle if they have joined or a "+" if there are still open spots in your team.

One teammate so far, too many lazy frineds...

Cool, thanks.  Then my "friends" haven't accepted my invites.

Wanna join my team or vice versa?  I'm just really curious as to what the extra bonus is that you get.

Ja, I got to Fourways Mall at around 10h30 and managed to get a 42mm black one. The guy there said there had been a line of around 30 peeps waiting at opening time. My confirmation from discovery took a while due to the rush.

istore tends to be jacked with preorders and booking of units, hope you come right.

Watch feedback : 100% at 5am, now 3:32 and at 60 %. This includes day one lots of use and showing off at work... So for me it's a thumbs up on battery

Feedback 2

Love software and smart functions, love activity tracking... Love the screen, and love the fluid smooth os.

Cycling seriously lacking.

Strava works well but no hr from the internal hr sensor is a deal breaker, this means you need to run the activity app for Cycling and run strava and have a hr Bluetooth strap on and use phones gps. All this is bad news for battery.

Secondly I need to see hr, ave speed, km done and time on my screen which can't be done on the apple watch

3rdly I need to see total accent and elevation both also not available.

For my wife who does casual rides, walks and runs it's perfect

These all I belive can be fixed by a os update and by opening the api to devs

Any one want a 42 mm black and willing to trade for a 38 mm? Prefer a white or pink ladies one. For the wife. I'm sticking to a garmin.

I'll trade with you. I'll go to istore cresta tomorrow to check if they still have the white 38mm. I'll also ask about the pink one.If the have I'll confirm with you and we can arrange.

Why would you bother with the Apple watch when you already have the Rolls Royce of fitness watches...?

The Apple watch is a glorified step counter. It had lots of potential, but the dependence on the iPhone ruined it. But, Apple. #hatersgonnahate

I think peopke are expecting a Fenix 3 spec from the Apple Watch, when it's clearly a "reward" for reaching a certain level of activity.

It's a device that displays data from the phone without one having to keep looking at the phone. Example: now you can see who's calling without having to remove your phone from your pocket.

Yes, it can help track certain activities but it isn't in the same category.

As for the complaints about Discovery making it hard to achieve the points... they're using the current points allocation which is vastly different to 2016's points.
