I would imagine Amazon say their device is preloaded with legitimate channels and they do not support any app that allows illegal streaming. Sideloading of Kodi or Mobdro not their issue.

But devices sold with the likes of Kodi loaded may face issues. Like that device sold in SA that Multichoice challenged a few months ago.

^^This

They can't be referring to any device that is capable of streaming. That would make PC's illegal...

I would say any device that is sold with software pre-loaded with the intention of illegal streaming is infringement on copy right laws. That fact that it is capable of having software loaded to stream illegally is hardly the fault of the manufacturer.

That's like saying all luxury German car drivers should be thrown in jail because their cars are capable of doing 250kph...

Here another combo deal for R1699 with keyboard remote, also quad core, Android 6, 2G Ram/16Rom http://www.hdmi-led.co.za/online-store/!/Combo-Android-TV-Box-6-0M-MX6---i8-air-mouse-keyboard-white/p/75795427/category%3D21230808?gclid=CJqnhfiG0NACFUUW0wodSrIImw

If you not in a rush for it, I have just ordered and Octa core Android 6 2G Ram/32G Rom for next to nothing :) http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_493138.html?wid=21

Whats ordering from these folks like?

Im considering getting this little box

http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_607555.html?

Currently have a MXQ Pro 4k and the thing is slower than aids, I did upgrade to 17.1which I think this box doesnt like very much.

So... I dragged out my old PC laptop from the drawer which has a HDMI output, dusted it off, opened it up shoved in a 250gb SSD which was also lying in the drawer, reloaded windows and the necessary drivers and thats now my Kodi box plugged into the TV.

It flies, so much faster than the little android box.

When opening Kodi on that laptop, you barely see the splash screen of Kodi before it drops you to the main screen.

I ideally want an android box thats as responsive as the laptop, hoping this little box in the link I posted here will be a lot better.

How long did you wait for delivery?

Is anybody else battling with streams buffering recently? I have checked available line speed and that is fine. (between 7-10,5 Mb/s) Buffering is happening in Exodus, SALTS, Phoenix, RedBull TV and Mobdro so I wouldn't say that it is any program in particular. Thought that there may be an issue with international connections at the moment. It's starting to get really irritating and I am looking at going back to downloading series again....

Yep, some of the streams buffer badly, other are fine.

I got a Real-Debrid account a while back and it was awesome until around this time, beginning of April then those started to buffer too.

Might have had something to do with the damaged SEACOM cable. Apparently that 's what was causing all the nonsense (Well according to the Afrihost Call Centre anyway...)

ja

on facebook I kept seeing some device as a sposored ad which cliamed free tv. So iasked them how they did this illegally and they cliamed apps they install. To which I responded that any free tv is not worth watching...to which they responded with crickets. So it is either kodi...or just apps that offer free (crap) tv

is usually a couple of weeks as the problem is it gets sent EMS and ends up in the SAPO system.  I have had parcels stuck at customs for 2 weeks.recently

Jeez... I hate SAPO probably as much as Zoomer. Actually, I think id rather stitch my arsehole closed than deal with SAPO.

The last dealing I had with them, I waited 7 months to get an integrated tail light for my old motorbike. Took a week to get to SAPO and then the *** started.

Did I mention I hate that cunch of bunts.  :cursing:

Does anybody have problems with sportsdevil in kodi? Mine worked fine with v16 but since upgrading to v17 it doesn't work. Even trying to roll back to v16 but no luck.

Are you running any additional software like vpn hide stuff?

No, no VPNs. Only running v17 on a Raspberry Pi.

I usually install a new version on a clean SD card, so if there are any problems, I revert to the old SD card.
