I'll say I'm one to also always say "come on", but then riding down towards Rand Water in the south, they have a light there also, which we skip on a Saturday/Sunday morning ride, so I'm not innocent either, BUT to then respond to a person of the public with foil language, I don't care what the circumstances, it's not called for and just shows who you really are.

Most cyclists have done the yield sign thing at a red light / stop sign (besides the point but in some countries cyclists are allowed to treat them as yield signs under certain conditions)...

 

Innocent or not, the point imo is that if a motorist remarks to a cyclists who has just done something like this, then normally the cyclist could be expected to blush / wave n be friendly / accept he was caught doing the wrong thing and move on quietly, not react aggressively with a FO.... Except of course if the motorist behaved unreasonably like using the K word.... which in this case the OP has been anonymously accused of doing.

 

Its already been acknowledged by and apologized for by team exarro, that's it nowhere else to go now other than a few more pages of bickering..... of course the OP could come back and deny or confirm his alleged use of the K word.... but that would just increase the pages of bickering.

I hear that word being used all the time at commuters. Heck there was even a case of the k- word in the CTCT on Sunday . No one said anything to the person who used the word except me, and that earned me some abuse from those defending the cras insensitive arse wipe who used the. All the rider (recipient of the verbal abuse) did was hop into a gap in a faster moving train in the peloton. Nothing ever gets done about the racial abuse in the races because even though there are witnesses it's always ok to be a racist because t not on to be an overly enthusiastic cyclist.

 

Based on what hear in events I can believe on probability that the k-word was hurled. Did it actually happen? I don't know but I'm willing to give them benefit of the doubt

I am cras and insensitive but will never use the 'k' word... It is not amongst the top 7000 things my mouth would utter in any circumstance.

 

If necessary I would find far more colourful insults. Your logic is flawed.

 

Being cras and insensitive does not make you a racist pig. 

 

To be fair using the color of somebody's skin to insult them is just silly. It is easy, dumb and just backwards. I have been stopped at multiple international airports because I look like a suicide bomber or islamic extremist yet I am not remotely religious. Am I offended, no. I choose not to be.

 

Allowing yourself to be offended by narrow minded morons because of something you were born with?! pfffft....... Please. It is a 2 way street.

 

This whole race pity as well as the bigotry need to be looked at.

 

People are very quick to play the victim when labelled. If I chose to bomb a building I will happily wear the shame and abuse because I chose to be a d-head. Just like people should learn to call me a d-head for my actions, not mock my race.

C'mon dude, you are a cyclist and a motorist and trying to convince us that you have never broken a law ???? So you've never not stopped at a stop street. Never skipped a red robot. That is in car or on bike. Never driven without a seatbelt, never spoken on your phone while driving...................Amazing !!

Hi all!

I had a conversation with my guys about this issue,and the guys agreed that they have jumped the robot. It's true that they are breaking the law, I agreed that if we help them to understand or educate them in a good way that will make a difference to them than swearing at them. The words Stupid K (not going to repost this word) was used to them. That doesn't makes changes to the people. I'm always trying my best to them to understand the dynamic of sports everyday, it will be good for all of us if we help each other to rectify our mistakes than swear to them.

Sorry did not have internet access and was caught in a building due to protest actions and could not access the web.

Just spoke to a rep from Exxaro.  I will undergo a polygraph test and so will my wife.  I did not use the K word at all.  If they want to make this a ******* racial issue, they must go trough the same test.

Exxaro is going to question them and I will give my full co-operation in this regard to show that I did not use the k word.

And btw f ucker is not the k word...

Honestly if you did NOT call them the K word, I would sue them for defamation... Like I said being accused of racism is not a small thing and unfortunately in SA one is guilty until proven innocent.
