Yes, i was there before asking the question.

IIRC, there was a big ruckus last year about the distance being much longer (7km) than advertised.

Also, "NISSAN TRAILSEEKER Marathon  The route for 2016 is still being finalised." and

Ascent: Tba.

but thanks anyway.

Their site not always updated 100% .

The did post the distance as 71.08 km on twitter. The same as the route that can be viewed on the site for the marathon with 580 m gain. The route is different from what was displayed a week or two ago when the highest point was only reashed at around 50 km.

I have been offered an entry for the half marathon, but I am mostly a road cyclist.

Would it be a good idea to attempt it? Because I am just scared it might a technical course....

Just do it.

I'm out. Can't do the highveld winter dust. You know nobody is going to believe I have "exercise induced asthma", when I'm caught klapping the inhaler...

have the same,as soon i slightly push .Burning chest ,dead legs. Can 1km can be 70km. You never know.

Been advised to take quick release 1hr before and 30 min before it helps.

It's to late if it hits you, inhaler doesn't help me jack then.

To the dumbass chop that rode into the back of my old man after the finish. Dumb sh@! you are!

It is after the blerrie race, you can slow down. People are moving at a slower speed, you should anticipate people crossing over. But no, you decide to have a go at a grand masters competitor (he podiumed in his category) telling him off. Thanks to you he has to go to hospital for x-rays to have his elbow and shoulder checked out.

Dumbass chop.
