very nice zak.

I really want a nice work room one day

I make use of my Makeshift Garage and the compact workshop of mine... But it works for me, I'm just glad I don't live in a complex with their restrictions... I can do as I please and my neighbours are quite cool and accomodating...

That price is not so bad for 30mm thick quality ply. 30mm is quite a chunk. Will make for one serious tabletop or worktop. Work out how much this will cost you to laminate using hardwood strips, then it suddenly seems quite fair.

AFAIK, the same quality ply in 19mm thick is about R1200 per sheet. Now compare this price to the price you pay for the usual chipboard crap, keeping longevity and workability in mind. MDF and chipboard is fine, as long as you keep water and moisture away. In the long run, this is not such an easy thing to do.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Ah, so not that great.

It's great for the application [emoji12], this specific board is hard, and the finish is chosen so the crates don't slide off the truck. Different boards for different applications. We sell a lot of ply, but very little for furniture grade application. If the customer requires a better quality than our standard, we buy it out.

I've also made most of my furniture, but those photos I've deleted from my account, as I noted there are people who started copying my designs.

Mind sharing your furniture pics? I'm in the middle of deciding how to build a new lounge suite.
