Bandana / Headbands

Hi, I am not blessed in the hair department and hence would like to know what my fellow bald riders out there wear under their helmets to prevent sunburn as well as sweat pouring into eyes/glasses etc.

I read that Haloheadbands are popular choices but at R548 think I could spend that money more wisely.

Assume I could use a simple bandana, does this work ?

Would appreciate if you could provide online/shops where to buy the various options.

Thanks

For the sweat pouring into sunglasses I bougt a halo sweat band.... Best decision ever... Never looked back at the R280 I spent.

Ditto on that, I just love my halo band because I sweat like crazy, even in winter.

Also recommend Halo. The rubber strip on the inside diverts sweat to the sides and hence keeps glasses sweat free.

Normal buffs only work till they saturated.

Wear a buff like a pirate then the buffs tail will protect your neck from the sun as well. Function trumps form every time in keeping the sun off, believe me, you don't want carcinomas on your skin.

I just use a headband as tried the bandanna but I get to hot then so I just put on some sunscreen on my bold head and headband on and I am good to go. Got mine a couple of years ago at the argus for R30, not a halo but still works fine.

Still using my Xterra Buff from 4 years back, not bad going considering I ride 4 or 5 days a week, I do wash it straight away though (just rinse it in cold water and hang out to dry).

I have a couple more for when that one dies(!) and a thicker one for winter riding.
