Vetplant Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 I can only think of a few races that do a full road closure, they seem to be the Mega size races to justify the closures: -947 Cycle Challenge-CTCT (Aka "Argus")-Amashova Am I missing any? Emperors Classic was a very nice race, although technically not a full road closure event but as close as one could get. The marshals were outstanding this year.
fanievb Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Dispatch Cycle Tour (if it ever happens again????) Herald Cycle Tour
Stretch Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 there is also the cycle race that follows the deloitte running marathon on workers day in may - from balitto to durban. piggy backs off the run
eddy Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Tour de France.....Scrap that. Hell, even the yellow jersey got himself taken out by a motorised vehicle.......
EmptyB Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Scrap that. Hell, even the yellow jersey got himself taken out by a motorised vehicle.......True actually....and let's not forget Mr Hoogerland getting CARessed into a barbed wire fence
Brickleberry Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 It must be a huge mission and expense to arrange full road closure. So it kills me when the price of races with no road closure want to charge the same price to enter their races .
