When your gf wants that morning quickie, but she's taking longer than expected so you're planning a budget for a new bike instead, but that doesn't help either as you realise she's taking up cycling time.

Unless you have faked "arriving" because the nookie has started cutting into your morning ride time, you cant call yourself a true cyclist :)

Her: "Sheez that was quick!?!"

Me: "Phew I know, but its because you are so damn sexy, bye see you in about 4 hours".

Its a win win, your partner gets a compliment, you get your ride in!

or "I must get those wheels because its on a massive discount at CWC until friday"

truestory

Every purchase has a very "valid" reason. Sometimes to convince the mrs, sometimes yourself

..you tell the wife that you could afford the new stuff coz you sold the old stuff. But you didnt.

Its saturday night, the kids are asleep and she starts making advances.

You check the time because you know there's a good chance this thing could turn into a marathon and you wanna be up early for a ride.

This might sound a bit harsh, and i often feel quite bad for doing so, but because of the rate at which cyclists are mugged, almost every recreational cyclist i look at riding in overalls or baggy jeans, i check out the bike as thoroughly as i can without being too obvious incase the bike is infact stolen. I mean nobody on here likes to be judgemental, but if i see a guy who works at a carwash in a overall with leather snadals on, riding a Specialized MTB with Fox fork and bike computer on etc, i do get a bit suspicious, ESP if the frame looks like its a medium but the guy riding it is nearly 7ft.  So yes, i look at almost ALL guys on bikes who i drive past..

PS, If anyone is missing a black with red decals Specialized, Fox front fork, WTB tyres with a bike computer on the stem, and i think they are shimano mtb pedals, Please drop me a msg because the guy riding the bike doesn't seem to even know how to use gears properly..

... you're out house hunting and you spend most of your time in the garage pacing them out to see whether they're big enough for a proper bike workshop...

When we bought our house this was what actually convinced me to buy.

(agent knew us well)

Garage has two rooms flowing out of it one as a workshop and one as the bike room

Not sure that 10 seconds counts as much of a ride - lol.
