Gen Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 I have now watched that finale 4 times.. Commentator was going on about Bert "losing" Porte 's wheel.. but on a few reviews you can see Bert look a round a few times to see who was there. .when he could see Sagan he pulled out and knew that naha the big guys were going to sprint that out.. clever guy.. slotted in behind Thomas or there about and just got the the finish with them.. saved some matches there. Although I am sure it hurt a bit today.. it was quite a steep climb that. . Also worth mentioning is that the yellow jersey never once looked like he was struggling and that on the first day where the road goes up says a lot.(couldn't spot froome so assume he was fine). . KWIATKOWSKI very selflessly staying with him making sure Thomas was fine.... I also once during the stage saw Froome look round to keep and eye on Thomas.. these bloody skyborgs are growing on me. Vetplant Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Protecting Thomas & Froome is a clever strategy from Sky. Many benefits to protect the duo. It gives you a backup plan in case something happens to your No1. It gives me flashbacks to when Wiggins won the Tour: Froome was protecting him and on one mountain stage finishes he kept leading the main man to the finish and was looking back constantly to ensure he isn't riding too strong for Wiggins. I think G would be a very likeable heir to the thrown if something were to happen to Froome.
fabes Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Mmm there was quite a bit of action within the break away.. counter attacks etc .. I actually quite enjoyed it. Sent from my SM-N9005 using TapatalkAnything is exciting if you live in Klerksdorp
