Protecting Thomas & Froome is a clever strategy from Sky. Many benefits to protect the duo. It gives you a backup plan in case something happens to your No1.

 

It gives me flashbacks to when Wiggins won the Tour: Froome was protecting him and on one mountain stage finishes he kept leading the main man to the finish and was looking back constantly to ensure he isn't riding too strong for Wiggins. I think G would be a very likeable heir to the thrown if something were to happen to Froome.

Mmm there was quite a bit of action within the break away.. counter attacks etc .. I actually quite enjoyed it.

That's true eh! I drove through Klerkdorp once and my pulse dropped for 10 minutes.
