Avo Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 I way preferred them to the current commentators. These guys cant talk about anything other than Aussie riders who wont actually feature much. They even go as far as to switching to other sports just so they can mention an Australian. My wife and I watched the Giro for the first time this year and we thoroughly enjoyed the race. What made it really exciting were the two commentators for that race. They were awesome!! I have no idea who they are but they were brilliant. Was hoping they would commentate at the Tour. Agree with Rocket-Boy that we prefer Paul and Phill to the current commentators.
Vetplant Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Didn't even press record on the PVR for today's stage. Going to be all about the Sprint finish. (Silently hoping I jinxed it and we see crosswinds or a Pantzerwagen attack!)

Pure Savage Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 I get to see the highlights and the last hour or two in the evenings and seeing that final kilometer I was almost jumping up and down and funny enough was wondering how you enjoyed that finish by Sagan. And seeing in the end how he unclipped and clipped back in again was just wow. My youngest who trying to get to sleep came into the room and saying, "... could that commentator just please shut up". Sounds like you youngest wants to move out of home...
Bateleur1 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Sounds like you youngest wants to move out of home... Ha Ha. It is bad enough to try and get your kids in bed when the sun only sets at about 22:00
Gen Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 If anyone want to listen to the podcast. . It is also on audioboom Interviews with the manager of Bora and DS of BMC as well as a chat with Alberto Bettiol (just for you Dale).. they briefly touch on Ulrich and his relationship or lack of with the German press and fans.. a small sponsor clip. . A few nice insights from their French guest, who has tons of knowledge and always gives good insights. (I forget his name) .. sadly no Ciro yesterday.. Pure Savage Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Anyone else listening to Lance's podcast, first time he has watched the race in years. I was expecting much more of a Dr Evil laugh and pointing fingers. Actually has valid observations and insight.

Definitely has more to offer from an insight perspective than say Greg Lemond. **** me, he is tedious.

Actually has valid observations and insight. That's so funny. .. I just finished listening to it... going into it I didn't want to enjoy it. First though was, I hope he doesn't make it about him but now I have to say..it wasn't all bad.[emoji53] he has the knowledge of what goes on on a daily basis in the peloton. And as a previous GC rider (apparently. ...although I can't find any official record of that ) he can give observations on that.. the co-host. .mmm don't know about him.. he seem a bit doff. .say he doesn't know sagan but in the same breath says he has watched thousands of sprints.. must be funding the podcast, can't see another reason why he is there. But I had to giggle when he said that the peloton seems to be a friendlier place now days. .well I wonder why [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
