I read somewhere that the World Champ is out, until after San Remo.

Valverde? Or did you mean Sagan  ?

My first reaction felt like replying about Sagan, as he was such an awesome ambassador for the rainbow stripes, think he is training to peak later in the Classics programme... Imagine a back-to-back Paris-Roubaix win!

Didn't hear anything about Valverde though...

I think most of us on here share your sentiments regarding Sagan...but was referring to the current World Champ. I think it might have been on my Supersport app, will try and find another link.

He is battling with illness if I remember correctly and will be out until after San Remo. But I will try and confirm.

Cant wait! No rain predicted. Gonna be watching it for sure. Hope someone will break the wolfpacks winning streak. Loving the racing and scenery and the opening weekend was fire!

Difficult to have to learn the name of the current world champ after it being Sagan for so long..

Valverde is preparing for ........dum dum dum Flanders.

Sagan is targeting all of the Spring Monuments so that is why he is starting his classics campaign a little later than usual and he will only grace our screens when Terrino-Ardiatico starts.. it is also beautiful 4 days of racing through a lovely part of Italy those narrow roads through some towns are too beautiful... will see what his form looks like.

Sagan can run but he cannot hide.

Some or other time he will have to face the might of the Quick - Step team.... they are not going anywhere   :D
