So, Lombardia on the weekend and Primoz (did you know he used to be a ski jumper?) is hiding his form by winning everything he can in the 10 days before the race.

Alaphillipe is out, wound down his season, eating pizza, drinking beer and trying to avoid calls from Tommy Voeckler.

Who else is in the frame to take the race fo the falling leaves since Pinot is out with injury?

Nibbles is there before he flips the bird and heads to Trek, all 3 grand tour winners are there, Valverde, Fuglslang, Landa one or two of the Yates...

Another day, another contender hits out to stake a claim as a fav' for the top step come Saturday.

Egan Bernal takes Gran Piemonte ahead of teammate Sosa and Nans Peters of Ag2R with Dan Martin in fifth. The Maincheese for TDD just outside a top 10 finish at 11th place. Another TDD rider, Gebregzabhier, came in 17th. Nice work.

Hugh Carthy pulled a 14th after crashing out of the Vuelta with a broken collarbone.

Number of riders who took part in all five monuments this year: 1

Philippe Gilbert

68th - Milan Sanremo
DNF - Flanders
1st - Roubaix
58th - Liege
54th - Lombardia

@PhilippeGilbert

This is actually very impressive.

But i guess if your target is to win all 5, then "you need to be in it to win it" counts :)

RACE OF THE FALLING LEAVES

Mollema attacks and takes the biggest win of his, often frustrating, career path.

Real good stuff from Trek lately.

Maybe the aura of the rainbow jersey....

Could it be that there will be more competition for places in the Vet's team?
