But not worth the upgrade cost.While it is a small change - being able to have the varia radar vibrate your wrist when there is a car speeding from behind you is a nice addition. what I dont get is my varia radar talks to my 510, but wont talk to a much newer fenix 3...

Joeboy69 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I think the addition of BLE is an interesting development. My speed/cadence and HRM is BLE so buying the watch has just become more attractive.

Wayne Potgieter Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Just pre ordered a Fenix 5x for myself and a fenix 5s for the wife. Gonna have to sell some old ones now to raise some cash. Forerunner 35 in white, 920XT in black/blue and Fenix 3 saphire with metal band. I am quite keen to see what they are like.

Wayne Potgieter Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 I ordered the 5x. Want the mapping functionality. A little bit concerned about the wrist size. I currently use the 3 sapphire and it's already a bit on the large side. Wifey is getting the 5s tomorrow. Will post pics of that one as well. V12man and _David_ 2
