Garmin introduces the fēnix 5 series

I've had a 5 for about two weeks. It's smaller than the 3. 5x is the same size as the 3.

Mini review: Apart from some UI changes, some additional performance metrics, it's pretty much an incremental update to the 3. Not like the big jump from fenix 2 to 3 was.

So much for Garmin claiming to launch at prices comparable to the outgoing 3. Prices on the Fenix 3 HR have dropped somewhat, my recommendation is to skip the 5 and get a 3, these prices are a little hectic.

Is anyone considering the FR935?

Its basically the plastic version of the F5 but includes some features that only the 5X has and is cheaper than all of them.

Just seems like a more practical option to me.

I ordered the 5x. Want the mapping functionality. A little bit concerned about the wrist size. I currently use the 3 sapphire and it's already a bit on the large side.

Wifey is getting the 5s tomorrow. Will post pics of that one as well.

When will we be seeing those pics Wayne...

(Especially the 5x)

This seems like the best value option!

It's also only 49grams!

Thats the thing, I would want it as a watch for doing triathlons so the lower weight and smaller profile seems good.

The F5 models are more stylish as an everyday watch but practically the 935 seems better to me.
