cat-i Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 ... CT is rocking some great weather and if I remember to log all my rides, and endo does not drop me this week, I should hit 6K by Beer Friday! Not even Beer Friday yet. Congrats
I FLY Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Leave at 6am from home to the top of Marlboro Drive and back again at 4.30. (sometimes get sidetracked at the green bar) Which way do you go? My wife and I are riding a 30km loop from Greenstone down to near N3/ Malboro Drive via the Modderfontein Nature Reserve gate starting at 5h30 in mornings we see often another rider with a flashing headlight heading the same way. Could this be you?
I FLY Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Whahaha I was also circling my building twice this morning to make sure that I make the strava 8000m ascent challenge for the month. This things we do I now live 1km from my office so I walk to work. but we do a 30km loop which goes past my office block on our bikes 4 times a week. If I counted these as commutes I would still be under the 8000m challenge.
Hairy Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Nice and breezy this morning in CT ..... the new SS gear ratio should be fun riding home compared to this mornings "fun"

Have not managed to link to endomondo Well done sir. I have manged to log 316 rides this year including commuting and training. But i suspect that your 268 are way in excess (distance wise) of mine.
Long Wheel Base Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 282 rides so far this year but my distance is WAY lower than it was 2+ years ago before my lightie was born.
cat-i Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 So after almost 11 months of the 2017 commuting challenge, this is the current positions around 4000 km. 6, 7 and 8 all within 16 km of each other. Edit: attaching the screenshot
Bateleur1 Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Seems like there might be an improvement on the weather second half of this week so I might get a commute or two in this week. Holding thumbs.
Bateleur1 Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Jippy. Did a commute again this morning. Schocking how much fitness one looses in three weeks. And at -4 it got a tad chilly with my hands taking a beating with the cold. Rest of the body was fine with the cold. All in all a nice ride.

We had some rain in the Cape and i rolled over when my alarm went off.But got out of bed 10 minutes later to get ready for the commute. Totally worth it in the end and missed the rain.

Don't think you guys will complain about any rain at the moment. Tommorow will be another 2-3 degrees cooler. I will see what I do. I really want to ride but have to admit it was bloody painfull as life returned to my fingers this morning.
