Ya'll know how to link Zwift to Garmin Connect? or send the data to Garmin Connect?

At the moment I've linked Zwift to my Strava account, which is great for recording exercise, but not going through my Garmin, data is not sent to Discovery.

I would rather link Zwift to Garmin Connect and then have GC link to Strava (will then break the Zwift-Strava link).

Any help with this appreciated.

Sorry for derail OP... but you could ultimately also benefit from this :)

I have a CycleOps PowerSync - absolutely love it and with Zwift; quickly turning into an addiction.

Don't think it's possible.

Just run your Garmin at the same time and keep you speed sensor on your rear wheel.

As Veeez says, it is not possible and even if you did link zwift to garmin connect it will record it as an unknown device and you will not get points from Discovery.

It is the same as if you upload your cycleops virtual trainer workout to garmin connect you do not get points.

You have to use your garmin and have the speed and cadence sensor on the back wheel, record your workout with your garmin device and upload that for the points.

I've been rolling on a Satori Smart for the past few months and it's perfectly fine. Sure, automatic resistance is cool, but for less than 5000 Randelas, there's very little to complain about.

I am pretty new to road cycling and the guys on the forum have always given me solid advice.

Training for Ironman I have the flowing setup.

IDT = Cycleops Mag+

Power= Garmin Vector

Speed = Garmin Speed Sensor

I would recommend getting a power meter rather than spending a lot of money on the IDT.

IMO, if you have a good [non-smart] trainer already then its an ideal choice to get a PM for your bike.

But if not, then invest in a smart trainer first. You will use the IDT/PM alot more for intervals etc than you would use a PM on the road. Too many variants on the road which make it difficult to excute intervals a 100%.

I honestly cant see me replacing my powerbeam with anything other than a cycleops when that day eventually comes. Their support is second to none, there is even a rep on this forum and they are super solid.

The big names are all pretty much compatible with all of the apps so it really comes down to price/support/personal preference.

The team of Wahoo reps are also on this forum and keeping an eye out :) Will arm wrestle to prove support.

Would I be able to get speed data from my Kickr on my Garmin Edge 1000 + my heart rate and sync that to Garmin Connect?

Just got my kickr, haven't been on it yet, can't wait!

For the guys that have smart trainers and a power meter, do you find the smart trainer allows you to train more effectively?

I found with mine that with a power meter and a standard trainer there isn't such a major difference between that and the smart trainer. Unless I'm doing it wrong?

Anyone owns a Tacx Neo? Would love to get some real user feedback as to pros and cons and not some sale mumbo jumbo. Currently using a Tacx Genius with TTS4. Any gradient above 8% results is serious tyre wear (and sometimes slipping).
